Frequently Asked Questions

If the Canadian dollar is at par, why are prices still higher in Canada?
The difference in pricing is due to the added costs associated with importing in to Canada. While US prices may initially appear to be lower, once you add shipping, duty, brokerage fees, and other expenses to the total, our prices are usually lower.

A lot of toys have been recalled due to lead content. Are pedal cars affected?
There has been a lot of media coverage recently about unsafe toys from China. We'd like you to know that all of our toys are inspected and tested on a regular basis and certified to pass all applicable toy safety standards, including tests for lead-based paint. (See the following question for further details)

Are these pedal cars designed for children to use or are they for collectors and hobbyists?
The pedal cars, planes, and tricycles that we sell are designed to be used and enjoyed by children ages 2 to 6, up to 100 lbs. They are steel bodied cars, with no sharp edges, and have a lead-free paint finish that is safe for either your toddler or collector.

Where are they made?
With a few exceptions, these products are all made in China.

How do you ship your pedal cars and how long will it take for me to receive my order?
We ship by FedEx to anywhere in Canada for only $49.00 or less per item. It normally takes a week or two to get your product to you, depending on our current stock and shipping times.

Can I save the shipping charges by picking up my order?
Certainly. We are located in New Maryland, New Brunswick; just on the outskirts of Fredericton and arrangements can be made for you to pick up your pedal car if you would like.

Do you ship to the U.S. and Europe?
Yes, we do. Please contact us for model availability and pricing.

Are these reproductions?
Some of our pedal cars are reproductions of older designs and others are new designs that have never been on the market before. The reproductions are true to the original designs, but may be slightly different in order to meet today's safety standards. While most original pedal cars from the 60's and prior are too valuable to let kids or collectors play with them, ours were built specifically for that purpose.

Is there "Some Assembly Required"?
A few of the cars are shipped fully assembled, but most will require some assembly. Using common tools (screwdriver, small wrenches), assembly times are anywhere from 10 to 40 minutes, (slightly longer if you only use the instructions when the finished product doesn't look like the picture on the box). We do ship all of our products with easy to follow, step-by-step instructions but whether or not you use them or not is completely up to you.

I'm not comfortable ordering online and paying by credit card. Are other arrangements available?
Certainly. We can take your credit card order over the phone, or if you prefer, you can mail us a cheque or money order for your purchase. If you bank online, you can even pay for your order by Interac. For more information on payment options, check out the "How to Order" link at the top of the page.

Are pedal cars a good choice for fundraisers or ticket sales?
Definitely! People are drawn to these pedal cars and goofy grins will be a common occurance from people passing by your display. These products are unique, desirable, and inexpensive; making them the perfect prize for your next fundraising activity.
